Case Study
Brunswick Street, Fitzroy North.
This Fitzroy North project involved a major double-brick renovation and extension, blending contemporary functionality with original character. Navigating tight inner-city access, we executed complex structural works, including underpinning, crack stitching, and integrating new framing into solid masonry.
The high-end scope featured microcement finishes, Venetian plaster, and bespoke joinery. Despite adding a hard landscaping package late in the contract, we met the original completion date through weekly coordination with the designer and client. By managing technical tie-ins and period-sympathetic details like curved brick headers, we delivered a seamless, architecturally integral outcome with transparent cost management.

Testimonial
"When Michelle and I were looking for a Builder to assist us on a deceased estate property next door to our house, we wanted someone that understood our key design principle that it was a restoration not a renovation and our Architect, ANNA.CARIN design studio
and ourselves had worked hard in the design process to respect the heritage and background of the house and our neighbour who we had got to know in his declining years. The project was quickly dubbed “The Dame” and we wanted a builder of high quality and attention to detail to deliver our vision. Beau came to us referred from an Architect that we had used on another project and from the first meeting Beau’s passion for quality and ability to listen was key to our decision to move forward with Beaumade Builds into Tendering. The tendering process was collaborative, detailed and importantly, as someone in already in the construction industry, open and transparent about inclusions and assumptions that backed up the $. Contract signing was straight forward and Beau redoubled his efforts to get the Project going through the Architect, Certifier and Council
Once onsite, the key strengths of Beau and his team, led by Todd and Nathan came to the fore.Nothing that was uncovered in a 100 plus year house restoration was a problem and as is key in all successful projects, the relationship and communication between us, our Architect and Beau and his team was always solution focussed. The Beaumade subconsultant trades bought into the vision of reusing and restoring and anything that didn’t meet high quality standards was rectified or adjusted to make it work. Beau’s team and trades proactively managed the neighbours which included a 1.5m brick extension on our boundary wall and rectification of their dilapidated stormwater system. We would highly recommend Beau and his team at Beaumade Builds and happy to show any of prospective Clients through the finished product of “The Dame”.
